1. Something that deviates from what is standard, normal, or expected.



'Anomalies' are a series of experimental prints using various applications and styles to create random images that represent Japanese mythological creatures, traditional masks, dolls and samurai helmets.

‘Anomalies’ were first shown in Ayoama, Tokyo, as part of ‘Wales Japan 2025’. They were also on display at the Embassy of Japan, London, as part of ‘Shared Roots, Shared Futures’ exhibition December 2025.
